REVIEW: The Retired Millionaire

Hey there !

The question for the day is:

"Can you have your cake and eat it too?"
(When it comes to internet marketing).

The reason I ask this question is because I get emails from people asking me for that 'all in one solution'...that one 'scheme to make them rich'.

The thing is...there is no all in one solution.

See, these types of opportunities are usually called 'turnkey opportunities', and I used to invest in them.

I used to frequently peruse Ebay's listings under 'Websites/Business for sale' and look for a turnkey opportunity that I could just set it and forget it.

I used to buy Adsense sites, dating sites, ebook sites, you name it, I probably bought it from Ebay. But did they work?

Well, in a nutshell...NO.

I still have ALL the scripts and website templates for these turnkey businesses, but none of the sites are up. Out of all of them, the only one I'd restart would be a dating site. I'm totally into the dating niche (even though I'm taken). I like going out there and giving lame-o's advice on how to pick up girls. I used to be the Donkey Kong of pimpin' back in the day, before I met my fiancee.

But anyway...

There are a lot of people out there trying to sell you something as being the 'end all, be all' of your financial struggles. Remember a few weeks back I talked about selling the opportunity rather than investing in it? I gave a little anecdote about the San Francisco Gold Rush of 1849...and how the only people who profited from that were the ones who sold the shovels to those money-crazed fools to dig for gold.

Well, think about that my friend...and how people are quick to sell you a turnkey opportunity instead of actually participating in it.

Which brings me to my next point.

See, there's a website out there getting a lot of online press in online world called 'The Retired Millionaire'. The idea behind this website is that there's some guy who has retired from the internet, and is leaving behind all of his secrets and tools of the trade for anyone with $47 in their pocket.

Of course, to people like you and me who have been duped by every money making product...this looks like your run-of-the-mill 'get rich quick' website, a la 'The Rich Jerk' or 'Ultimate Wealth Package'.

(Yes, I was dumb enough to buy both of those, but I don't regret it)

Here's the thing...I haven't purchased this product, because I know what it entails...

See, I'm on Todd Gross' mailing list for freemonthlygift.com, and I'm an active reader. I even had the pleasure of working with him, and having a good friendship with him online.

Well, he promoted this to his list, and got a lot of feedback from it which really caught my attention.

Supposedly...

The actual product itself looks like it was a rush job, and that there were minor problems when you tried to view a website or two. But other than that, the content is pretty good...and there's a lot to digest.

So, if you were to undertake this one, personally dedicate some time for you to read, re-read and take notes.

Also, the real 'gem' of this product is the 11,000 Private Label articles that's included. You know, with Private Label material you can legally plagiarize it, and call it your own... I love Private Label stuff, personally.

There was also a mention of some turnkey websites. Remember what I told you about turnkey websites...sell the opportunity, don't invest in it.

There's 200 turnkey websites included. I personally have 50 myself. But the key with these sites, is to do the following:

1) Get some cheap Reseller hosting from Ebay or Hostgator (tmharris.net/hostgator)

2) Sell the turnkey opportunity of your choice on ebay for cheap

3) After the sale, get them into a monthly subscription for the
website via Paypal like ($3.99/month)

4) Go into your reseller's panel, create their account, and load
the script onto their account, since you have their password

5) Give them their login details, and let them be in charge of
buying a domain name.

You'll earn recurring income this way...Pretty cool, huh?

But, you need turnkey sites to do this with, and The Retired Millionaire has 200 of these sites ready for you to do business.

There's also 900 Tutorials you can sell, and some 200 Products that come with Master Resale Rights.

Now, this sounds like a business-in-a-box. And that's pretty much what it is. If I were to invest in it, I'd just utilize all the stuff and flip turnkey sites on ebay, and resell the Master Resale stuff.

So, what's my final say on this?

'The Retired Millionaire', is not for newbies, unless you really dedicate some time to really sit down and study the informational guide. Plus, with the added sources for you to profit from, you should come out fine if you get this.

You're probably wondering why I didn't buy it.

Well...I pretty much have everything that they speak of. Of course, I could definitely use the 11,000 PLR articles, but I have 3,000+ already on my other PC.

I could use the turnkey websites and flip website businesses with them, but I already have 50 of my own that I have to try and sell.

I could use the 200 Master Resale Rights products...but I have thousands sitting in 'digital limbo' back in the office.

I could use the 900 tutorials...well, I could use the 900 tutorials to be quite honest. haha But it's only something else you can sell off. Me, I have tutorials that I've produced myself, and you'll be introduced to in the weeks to come. But 900? Damn, that's a lot!

Let me stop rambling, and let you get back to work.

And, I have a quick inspirational question for you, to end this blog off...

What is your goal in 2008, and what exactly are you doing to work towards that goal?

I'd love to hear your response to this one. Comments are welcome.

Tim: Just so you know, I've tried four times to post this. Problem I'm having is the wonderful screen name that I can't erase or delete so I can retype another. Soooo...I have to start over each time I make a mistake. Other than that I enjoyed your comments and would like to know where I can get information that would guide me through starting an internet business. I know nothing about it and have found honesty to be a rare thing on here. Thank you

Enjoyed your comments. I would like to know where I can find information guiding me through the internet business startup process. It's so complex and I'm confused.

That was a great review, T.M.

Frankly, I didn't even consider purchasing it as I just hate those long sales pages which tell you nothing, I just get worn out.

Hi Tim,

Thank you for your comments regarding the "Retired Millionaire", however, my experience was not what you have professed. I paid the $47. I did NOT get 200 turnkey sites, 900 tutorials, or 200 products with Master Resale Rights. I got nothing to download after he had my $47. All I get is email after email after email, guiding me to one of his buddy (or "affiliate")
websites to buy yet something else.
I requested a refund within the 56 days, but, lo and behold, when I "reply" to his latest "Offering", the mail is returned as "undeliverable". So, the "handle" he is using "RetiredMillionaire@gmail.com" is of no use to me.
I am really disappointed in my dealings with him. All I can figure is he became a Retired Millionaire by taking $47 each from people like me, and "poofing" into the night. Pretty hot deal, eh?
Perhaps, that's the "turnkey" site idea that I just didn't understand.
In any event, thank you for letting me vent.
You have a great site, which I will definitely visit again.

I purchased it. I will purchase any product, if it has a refund. I used to get burned by these guys, now if it is rehash it goes back. Fed up with rehash. In fact, the only one I have found, and I am not selling it, to be very good if you are just starting is nicheblueprint. That is worth the money.

I turned this one back already. Way too much rehash. Maybe one new thing, not worth 47.00. He has bonuses under two plr files. You have to download a program to unzip them. And then, you are unzipping forever. Nothing is organized. You don't know if you are unzipping sites, letters, etc.
As far as products, same crap everyone else offers in their membership freebies.

Anyway, I don't recommend this one. It's nothing new. Get a website, write articles, you know the drill.

Thanks for an honest review T. M.
And for the person who wants a refund, go to Clickbank and get your refund. Just fill out one of their contact forms and give them your purchase order number and what you used to purchase it. That's about it. They will refund you.

I have been caught virtually a year to the day after I see JB (anonymous)'s comments were made. And I have had almost identical experience.

TheRetiredMillionalire is a very compelling sales pitch that I bought into on 15th September 2009 (US$47).

On discovering that it is simply a whole load of recycled junk (Step 1: First read through these two ebooks (Beginners guide and Essentials for Newbies). Step 2: choose from this list of several dozen ebooks to read which ones interest you. Step 3: choose from dozens of tacky old PLR... use them, sell them, do whatever you like. And "Please Feel Free To E-mail purchase@theretiredmillionaire.com With Any Questions!)I decided to call on the "56 day Money Back Guarantee" on 23rd September 2009.

And what do you get if you have any questions? Or in my case, a refund demand?!? This reply:

"A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

purchase@theretiredmillionaire.com
mailbox is full: retry timeout exceeded"

A PERMANENT ERROR?? What on earth!
I don't know the technical definition of a SCAM, but this particular site must be very close.

I shall persevere - although at this stage I'm not even sure it was a genuine Clickbank purchase. No confirmation Clickbank email, and no response from CB on this matter.

In fact I am extremely concerned...

BE VERY CAREFUL ON THIS ONE.

"The Retired Millionaire", Chris Everson its author and anyone who promotes it are frauds and rip-offs. After purchasing it, I received NOTHING - not even an acknowledgement of my request for a refund. These people should be banned. I intend to continue to post about their FRAUD and warn others not to get suckered in by their slick sales pitch.
